My Experience

Private Practice

In 2016, I began a small, part-time private practice. By July, 2019 the practice had grown and I jumped into it full-time. I have had the privilege of working with an array of individuals with different backgrounds and life experiences. There is nothing better than having a career that affords me frequent opportunities to witness positive change.

The Opportunity Alliance

In 2012, I was a clinical intern at The Opportunity Alliance at their 12-bed co-occurring residential program: Morrison Place. This program provides transitional housing and treatment for homeless individuals who have a major mental illness and/or a substance use disorder.

Pine Tree Recovery Center

In 2018, I took a position as the clinical lead at Pine Tree Recovery Center, a medical detox and addiction treatment facility in Portland, Maine. My responsibilities included competency trainings for staff, development of policy and procedures, and ensuring we met Joint Commission standards. While it was difficult leaving behind this fantastic team, I knew I was ready to pursue private practice full-time.

Spring Harbor Hospital

In 2009, while pursuing my MS in Clinical Counseling, I worked as a psychiatric technician for Spring Harbor Hospital in Westbrook, Maine. Spring Harbor is southern Maine's only private psychiatric treatment and recovery center. Their inpatient programs for youth and adults target those who suffer from a variety of mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders

Mid Coast Hospital

In 2012, I worked as a lead clinician at Mid Coast Hospital in their Outpatient Behavioral Health Program. In my five years at Mid Coast, I oversaw their evening Intensive Outpatient Program, co-created a PHP aftercare group, and ran a Men’s Recovery Group.

Military Pathways Program

In 2006, I worked as a program assistant for Military Pathways. Their mission was to improve awareness of the availability of mental health services for members of the Armed Forces and their families
